Our Marbré Damier is a butter biscuit with a chequerboard pattern of vanilla and chocolate squares. Its playful appearance deliberately evokes the game of chequers, which is called "Damier" in French, hence this biscuit's name! A duo of flavours
Whilst the golden shade of the vanilla and the enticing chocolate colouring of the cocoa create a visual contrast, the flavours pair together wonderfully, as if it were the most obviously indulgent pairing in the world. The sweetness of the vanilla and the intensity of the cocoa go together harmoniously, blending perfectly with the wonderful buttery flavour underpinning it all. Ingredients & savoir-faire.
Our Maison makes the Marbré Damier with a traditional recipe. Simple, but so, so good: Flour, eggs, sugar, fresh butter, and a lot of expertise! The doughs are flavoured with cocoa and natural vanilla extract, both carefully hand-selected. Here, flavour is key for our Maison, and it's the quality of the ingredients carefully selected that give this all-butter biscuit its wonderful authenticity.
Its playful shape will add a fun touch to your mid-afternoon refreshments, and its flavours will be adored by little ones and grown-ups alike! They're simply divine briefly dipped into a glass of milk or a hot chocolate…
Flour (GLUTEN), butter (MILK) 29.9%, sugar,EGG 5.7%, cocoa 2.7%, vanilla extract 0.3%, salt, antioxidant: rosemary extract.
All our products are made in a bakery which uses wheat flour (gluten), milk (lactose), eggs, nuts (almond, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut), sesame, soya derivative, peanuts and ingredients which may contain traces of sulphites.
