2024 Colmar Easter and Spring Market

This ritual has come to be loved by our Maison, its customers, and all of the locals in the Colmar region (and the surrounding areas): The traditional Easter and Spring celebrations. For its 12^th edition, which will take place from 28^th March to 21^st April, and you'll be able to discover two markets, three sale exhibitions, and a series of concerts and performances that will have the Haute-Rhin's capital abuzz!

Land of celebrations and traditions

Whilst Alsace is primarily known for its Christmas traditions over the month of December, with its Christmas markets that look like they've popped straight out of a fairytale, there are other, multi-secular celebrations and events in its cultural calendar that are equally as fantastic: Spring and Easter celebrations.

Colmar is welcoming Spring with open arms!

For three weeks, Colmar locals come together to mark the arrival of the warmer season, whilst also celebrating Easter by decorating their town. Colmar becomes a living theatre, setting the stage for an Easter fairytale where "Osterhase" (Easter Bunnies) make home in blooming flowerbeds, hens and their chicks start to appear all along the banks of the River Lauch, another affluent of the River Ill - and the budding trees are strewn with colourful, playful eggs.

Although it may be smaller than the Christmas Market, the Colmar Easter and Spring Market isn't any less of a wonderful event that deserves a trip whether you're having some solo you-time, enjoying a romantic day out for two, or in seek of a family adventure.

Spring strolls in search of authenticity...

As winter gives way to springtime, the chalets of the Christmas Market are replaced by small huts, adorned with Easter and Springtime decorations. Set up right in the city centre, two markets are held for these celebrations, one in the Place des Dominicains and the other in the Place de l’Ancienne Douane. Real gems in the history of this town, these two places with their pop-up stalls offer a unique setting for a shopping spree, where you're sure to pick up some unexpected but incredible finds.

Selected for their "artisan sincerity", the finest craftsmen and craftswomen from around the region showcase and sell their wonderful and beautiful creations, full of ingenuity and inventions.

A major figure in Alsace biscuiterie since 1996, our Maison will be on-hand to deliver nothing short of pure bliss in edible form - we'll be selling our traditional delights on the Place des Dominicains and Place de l’Ancienne Douane from Thursday 28^th March to Sunday 21^st April – every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

This is the perfect chance for us to introduce you to our Easter specialities, such as: our Lamala (Easter lamb), our chocolate figures, our praline eggs, our Easter butter biscuits, our cocoa biscuits, and our gingerbread Easter eggs. We can't forget our unmissable classics, including our butter biscuits, almond soft biscuits and traditional gingerbreads...
