    Lillikoug infused with Alsace Damson Plum: The mini Kougelhopf

    With the Lillikoug® - "Lilli" given its miniature size, and "Koug" as it replicates the shape of the emblematic Kougelhopf - our Maison set out on a wonderful adventure: Taking the iconic Alsace delicacy and fashioning it into a refined and gourmet dessert. To do this, our pâtissiers have created a miniature version and soaked in a delicate syrup infused with Marc de Gewurztraminer, selected especially for its aroma. An exceptional harmony is created through this well-balanced pairing, full of opulent sensations, quintessentially embodying our region.

    To tell you the story of our region, our Maison has selected the damson plum brandy to enhance the incomparable flavour of the authentic Alsace Kougelhopf. Made with elongated, rich purple plums with a yellow flesh, damson plum brandy is an authentic an generous expression of our region's community and expertise. Its lingering presence in the mouth and its finesse have made it one best-known brandies in Alsace and France.

    This new creation from our pâtissiers enthrals palates and invites sweet-toothed aficionados to indulge their senses with a unique combination of two of region's greatest traditions: Its pâtisserie expertise and its art of distilling.

Others will carefully and inventively enhance these little delicacies to enjoy them in gourmet contexts, using them to bring a fine-dining meal to a close or to accompany that final coffee of the night.

    A true treasure discover by visitors to the Alsace region, our Lillikougs® invite you to explore the talented and generous spirit of our beautiful region. Sublime them with even more elegance by serving them with ice cream and fruit. The cold touch will gently revive the flavours and aromas of the brandy.

    Our serving tips

    Our Maison recommends accompanying these mini Kougelhopfs with a scoop of ice cream - vanilla, ideally - or candied fruits, or even a fruit salad. cherries, peaches, apricot and even pineapple.

    To enjoy this creation by our Maison whilst upholding the finesse of the art, whilst also delighting your guests, follow our recipe for a Lillikoug ice cream sandwich served alongside pan-friend damson plums or try it with a mirabelle plums compote, perfect for the start of the season!

    Before enjoying the Lillikoug®, leave them to come up to room temperature for at least 10 minutes.

    Syrup (sugar, water, Damson plum brandy 11.7%), flour (GLUTEN), EGG, sugar, butter (MILK), MILK, salt, ALMOND, baking powder: disodium diphosphate - sodium hydrogen carbonate, cornflour.

    All our products are made in a bakery which uses wheat flour (gluten), milk (lactose), eggs, nuts (almond, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut), sesame, soya derivative, peanuts and ingredients which may contain traces of sulphites.
